I hope so, i'll be crossing fingers.... Having an iAudio would be fantastic!:hurray:. Unfortunately i'm not a social kind of guy :friend:. And it's hard to convince someone around here to use JetAudio, especially since only a few understand some english words... :(

Hi boys, girls and jetaudio!:friend:

I got some story to tell you.
A month or two ago, when my parents? friends were going to the U.S. , I asked them to buy me an mp3 player. Before they left, I had made the most extensive research I could in order to find the best one (as I knew their price is not that cheap, I wanted, as most of us, to get the best). At the end, like many others as I see, I reduced the selection to the two I thought are the best available: iaudio cw200/300 and iriver 390T.
Eventually, I decided on the iaudio, as it seemed they both have quite the same fetures, but while the iaudio looked so slick and so sexy (I?m a girl, and looks does matter very mach to me), the iriver looked like a fat mouse.
So I told them to buy me an iaudio, and if they don?t finf it, buy me the iriver.
A couple of weeks after they left the referrer competition began in our forum, and I decided why notr, I never win any way (I swear on that).
But this time happened a thing that never happened before: I WON AN IAUDIO! (Once again thank you my dearest jetaudio, and to all my friends who helped me).
o.k?.now begins the drama: two days later?the friendly friends came back?with an iriver that cost me 200 and something $!!!?They ?weren?t able to find the iaudio anywhere??

Four days later, with a delivery service, without any taxes, I got my cute little, slick, iaudio!!!

Irony did not effected me, I waited for it for so long?so I unpacked it as well?

Today, after trying the iriver for 6 days, and the iaudio for 2 days, I have so much to tell:

As I was a month ago in a huge conflict between the iaudio and the iriver, I see that many others are at the same situation. Now, that I have both (god, I feel spoiled J) I hope I can assist others in their decision.
I?m not some music or computer groupie, so I won?t be able to help in the technical things, but for their capabilities, looks, sound, options and programs, I have some opinion (a first hand opinion):

Well, as I mentioned before, looks is very important, at list it is for me.in this category, in my opinion: the iriver 390T doesn?t stand a chance comparing to the iaudio.
The iaudio is very slick, has clean lines, elegant and thin (the 200cw). The iriver on the contra has a triangle shape, which always, from some reason remains me of a fat black little mouse with a back problem. (though the goystick is nice)
However, I mast be objective and say that my parents, my X, and some other ?ununderstanding? people thought the iriver looks much cooler and young (whatever).
the backlight of the iriver is stronger and "bluer", and therefore makes the reading easier.

Battery life: one of the things I really do not understand is how the iriver that works on AA batteries (the big ones, what explains its shape), that promises 26 hours of playing, kills the battery after 3-4 days, at which I haven?t had time to listen to it more that 12 or something like that short hours. The iaudio 200 on the other hand uses the little batteries AAA and is still after 2 days of exploration shows that the batteries are full.
Voice recording: both my players have managed to record perfectly my chemistry teacher, and it sounds as though he is right here (spooky). And?today, some days before the elections for the city hall, the mar has came to talk to us (I wonder why), and even in our gym, with 2/6 of the high school?s pupils she was recorded very clearly, almost as though you are there (I preferred not to be). In this section, both players got an A+ from me.
However, I really liked that in the iaudio you have a fast way to turn on the recorder, by pressing two buttons at once. This is very affective and is lack in the iriver.

Radio: it seems, that the iriver?s is stronger, as it can catch stations that the iaudio cannot.
Mp3: perfect on the iriver, still haven?t had time to try on my iaudio (it?s been only 2 days! And I had an exam!) . Review will come soon.
6. Programs: in this section, iriver does not stand a chance. The jetshell and the getmail are absolutely wonderful. Iriver?s program is easy to use, but that?s it, it gust uploads, downloads, and changes WMA to mp3 and back (why to change it back?!)
The jetvoicemail is so sweet, my voice as Darth Vader is something else?

Special characteristics: iaudio 200cw: you are able to download different animations from the home site, what is very nice)
iaudio?s carrying case (which is extremely beautiful, as it made from white later, unlike the plastic case of the iriver) has a clip for the belt, something that the iriver people with their stupidity didn?t though of. Anyways both players come with a strap for the arm, which is identical in both players (the only difference is in the logo), it is very comfortable?now that I have shortened it by cutting it a bit, as my arm was to thin even for the minimum length. It is grate for running.
Both players come with a necklace, a different one, though in my opinion they both look poor.
Iriver: well, what can I say my dear jetaudio?the iriver player has one option which the iaudio doesn?t, and its an important and a good one: the iriver has a line in cable, which connects to the player to a hole identical to the one of the earphones, and can be connected to any Discman or walkman (to their earphones exit) and just copy music that is being played on them to the mp3 player. So that in a situation of a trip for example, you can copy to your player the cool song you heard on your friend?s player.

I have so much more to say (about mass storage, radio recording, etc?) , and I hope I haven?t bore you to death, but now it is midnight here, and I have physics class on 8 a.m., and I still haven?t done my homework. So I?m off, see you tomorrow. Good night.

Ehh, so in the end - which one is ultimatly better? Except for the line in (that I would never use myself) you seem to like the iAudio a little more ... or am I wrong?

EDIT: Oh, and you say that the radio reception on the iRiver is better (have you tried switching the iAudio to Mono instead of streo - reception is better then). Have you also tested the chill function of the CW200 - reduce the playing speed to 80 percent and youi will see what I mean! That is something that I haven't seen on ANY other player ... :)

EDIT2: "with an iriver that cost me 200 and something $" - how many MBs if I may inquire ... 128 or 256? If it's 128 then - damn - that's expensive! I got my iAudio CW200 256 MB for 170 Euros (with Postage and Packing)

I'm glad you get your iAUDIO CW200. your comparison is almost corret! But the release dates between two mp3 players are different. iAUDIO CW200 is definitely first.

Our company shows All in one mp3 player which has mp3 player, voice recorder and FM radio first in the world. iRiver copied our idea(iRiver started with MP3 CD Player).

Now, IFP390T is the lastest model. iRiver is bigger and faster. I admit it. But We are releasing newer model too. that would be i4.

all the CONS you mentioned were resolved!

I bet you like it most. :)
