View Full Version : Will iAudio hold up to sports use?
Hi,
In the opinion of the forum, are the iAudio players robust enough to carry in an inside pocket while downhill skiing? I'm of an age that I avoid falling, but I do from time to time. Like last weekend when I was showing off for my son. :)
Thanks!
Yes, the iAUDIO4 has great quality! The casing is made of Aluminium and is very rubust.
My CW200 has been everywhere and still works absolutally fine. It's been droppen on concrete more often than I can count. I'm not proud of being an idiot really, but it just shows how good the iAUDIO series is!
Also be careful not to get it wet or even damp for too long while you're skiing, as the manual says, otherwise it may fail and not be covered by warranty for reason of submersion.
Hopefully it'll survive a few accidental bangs. The older iAudios were almost fully enclosed in aluminum, but the iAudio4 has a plastic underside that's double layered, I guess, since the battery cover is removable from the iAudio4... unless there's an aluminum layer behind the plastic covers LoL
Well, I think it should be fine, but I really can't test it yet although I want to.
Damp of course would be very bad for the player, but if you are careful you should have no problems. And it *should* handle the cold alright, seeing that it has no moving parts or anything like that.
