Connecting to CDDB

When inserting a new CD, jetAudio is trying to connect to CDDB, but is not asking for user-password, thus not able to connect...

At home all works fine, but when I connect my laptop at work... nada...

Maybe the servers at your workplace do not allow to connect there. It might be a kind of personal use which could be forbidden.
