x-surround help

what is x-surround,is it converting stereo to multichannel likeCircle Surround 2 ?
if it can convert,why can not i hear,i still have stereo?

please help........

i have sounblaster live (it supports 5.1)
i use windows xp
pent 3

i downloaded zoom player and matrix mixer
but although i got surround with zomplayer,lfe is not working
so i have weak sound,without bass.(in matrix mixer all left and right channels are working,but in lfe monitor there is no sign)

and no change for x-surround
