Hi everyone. I'm Jeremy Jones from Atlanta, GA, USA. I got myself a D2 around Christmas last year and have been loving it. My biggest gripe with the D2 is that you have to scale video files down to exactly 320x240 (or so that one of the dimensions is exact and the other is less than or equal to the other). Another slight gripe with the D2 is that I wish it had on-screen volume control. I use an Altoid tin as a case for it and in order to adjust the volume, I have to take it out of the tin, which requires me to unplug my headphones, which is a bit of a pain. But all in all, it's a great little media player.

Welcome to Cowon America Forum!!

Congrats on buying D2!!
your resolution problem is true.. actually with D2's processor, it can easily play 640x480 videos.. but the problem is with the firmware.. they didn't allowed to use more than 320x240.. but we need it.. atleast for the TV Out!!
which firmware are you using??

**I will move this post to Cowon D2 section after your status has been changed to "Junior Member"..

Sorry - I glance over the forums occasionally, but didn't check back with responses to this post. I'm using the 3.57 firmware now, but was previously using the 2.57 and I think 2.54 or 2.53 (can't remember which) before this.

Thanks for the tip about using an Altoids tin as a case for the D2 - it just fits!

I use an inline volume control with my D2 that I got with my Shure SE530 earbuds. I've also seen them at Best Buy and Circuit City. The cable/volume control is only about 6 inches long and has a standard 3.5mm male plug on one end and the corresponding female socket on the other end to go between the earbud cable and my D2. I can quickly adjust the volume from one song to another or turn the volume all the way down when someone comes up to my desk to talk to me.
