To be able to record sound via the line-in, one as to buy a connector seperately. These are rather expensive, not to mention shipping)

I think it should be quite easy and cheap to make one yourself.
As far as I know, the connector is a micro-USB. Cables with a micro-USB are cheap. One only needs to know which of the USB contacts are used for the stereo line-in (and in what order).

Is there anyone who owns a line-in connector together with a Volt/Ampere/Ohm meter, who can look how the USB connector is wired internally (the USB part with the left/right/neutral on the line-in)?

Thanks, and bye.

A brother or sister on the iAudiophile.net forum found out how the D2 line in and video out are wired internally:

Greetings (and happy soldering)!

good luck getting the connector piece that fits....it is ot a standard usb of any kind....its not worth the hassle, just buy one online from "jetmall.net"the connector is like $5 or so, and the shipping is not too expensive, and it comes within a week(To California)....not worth the hassle of soldering and trying to find connector pieces that fit.
