Never had an player, got this one for christmas (I asked for this one after lots of research). I have the Cowon D2 16gb. I have 2.57 firmware (came installed already)
Love the player and want to get it working better for me.
Need some help and not sure if I did everything correctly.
I did some searching and thoght I did everything correctly, sorry if I missed something.
I transferred a number of CD's to hard drive using WMP 11 at windows media lossless.
I then learned I cannot put it on Cowon this way. So I downloaded foobar2000 and converted to flac using %artist%/%album%/%track% %title% This way I would have the folder structure I wanted.
I copied each folder to my cowon including the album art jpg's.
Did I do this correctly? Is there a better way?
When I go to my music library and albums, it will show artist but then all the songs from the artist are listed together, not seperated by album and the songs are not in track order. I can go to Music Library / folders / d2 / music / then find the artist and album and the songs are in the correct track order the way I want to view them. While this is a work around, it is quite a bit of clicks to get to what I want. Let me know if there is an easier way or if using foobar2000 the way I did messed me up - I'll re-do that if necessary or if there is a way to set my d2 to default to go to d2/folders/music.
Edit - after I converted I copied with explorer from hard drive to cowon's drive /Music so the directory structure is music/artist/album/track.flac
Also, the album art doesn't show - how can I get this to show?
Is there a way to run this through my car stereo? Recomended acessary?
Is there a dock where I can play it through speakers in the home? Can I hook it up to my receiver?
Thanks.
