:question:hello everybody , i have a cowon q5w and want to find out . How do i make the flash player work on more sites ? Because in mine it only works on Youtube all the other sites i tried just give me a black blank screen . l am running on the latest filmware version for my Cowon Q5W 80 gb . Can anybody please tell me how to fix this ?

That is known issue with Q5W. Even youtube flash is not working properly. IE on Q5W is old browser version. Cowon needs to add support for the latest flash version and also improve performance old IE to solve this issue. I am not sure whether they would address this in next firmware release.

The q5 can play some flash 7 files. It won't like web sites that use later versions of flash. Also, web sites that use earlier versions of flash will not work happily with the q5 if they use lots of calculations (easing for example) as the q5 works differently to PCs and Macs.

There doesn't seem to be much you can do about this.

q5w contains windows CE 5 as a second interface, which contains a very stripped down form of internet explorer- no plugins, no php, minimal javascript, and youtube-specific versions of flash (similar to those found on the Nintendo Wii). You could attempt to find a later version of flash for Windows CE, installing it onto the device would be a bit of a mystery though, especially since the device contains two different interfaces. I haven't used that particular device personally, but i have seen similar issues with smartphones running CE and the like.

Hope this helps, i don't know if it's a newer version then what is found on the q5w, but it may help.
