Playlist (M3U) files

Does anyone know if there are any plans to update the i7 software to allow m3u type playlist files instead of the dynamic one? It takes a fair while to add up to 200 tracks to a playlist manually and it takes up a lot of space to duplicate the files and then add them to the playlist!!

It's been over a year since the last update to the i7 software. ISTM that Cowon have lost interest in it.

In MTP mode you can create .pla playlist. You can use winamp for this. Winamp can also play the files directly from the player without load them onto the PC.

I think you can also open the directory in MTP mode and right click to create a list.

To put the player in MTP mode go to the settings and I think general. Look for the USB mode.
