Very slight problem with my I4.

I just received I4 this afternoon and I'm very satisfied with it. However there was this problem where my i4 has a slight open space on the left upper portion under the battery cover. This makes the backlight to be leaked and is visible from the outside. Is this normal for all the i4 products or is it defective?

That is completely normal. I wouldn't worry about it!
