I'm really new to this, and there's a lot I dont understand. But I'm trying to set the external server, and I dont know what to put for Hostname and Password. Help please.
Hi etownhardcore
If you only intend to just stream to jetCast you dont need to use this feature.
You only need to use this feature if you wish to stream to another server/network other than jetCast. eg: SHOUTcast, IceCast, Live365, PeerCast etc.
Note:
To stream to an external server you first need to setup a server to stream to.
Have a look at...
HOW2... jetCast (http://www.geocities.com/peercast_listener/how2jet.htm)
Its an easy to follow foolproof setup tutorial for jetCasting and it should help sort out any confusion and get going at jetCast :)

My station never showed up on the directory.
Hi etownhardcore
Have you tried connecting up to your own station to see if its running?
Try this test to see if your stream is accesable...
Port Check (http://www.radiotoolbox.com/online_tools/cantheygetin.php)
Sometimes the jetCast YP Directory isnt running as it should so if your test shows your stream is active then its an issue with the YP Server again and nothing can be done untill development sort it out.
You can always give out your stream URL and post it on your web page though :)

Does that mean when I start the broadcaster and it says failed to connect to directory server that the server or YP is down?
