I am having trouble with jetCast's PLS-type files and find RAM files much more responsive. Can jetCast be used with RAM files?
As far as I know as long as you have either Real(crap)Player or Real Alternatives installed on your PC then jetAudio/Cast will deal with the files quite well.
Dont ask me about them though as I dont uses them myself so have no experience either playing or streaming them.
Maybe one of the jet-techs can come in and answer this properly for you :)
jetCast can't broadcast in real media format. That's the easy answer. It probably never will be able to because of liscencing issue.
Don't you just hate Real Networks?
There you go :D
I learn summat new every day. :)
While Im here... and on the subject of real media files...
Is there any software to convert Real media (.ra .ram files) to mp3 format?
There is software that can convert rm files to wav and then you can go on to convert them to whatever you want from there. But I think Real Networks doesn't actually allow this.
I think I saw a post by jetAudio some time ago regarding this issue. Supposedly it is illegal and that's why jetAudio can't do it. Technichally jetAudio (the application) is more than capable of performing such an action.
