i would like to know, what's the difference between analag and digital playback in the audio-cd-section? of course i can hear adifference, namely: when i switch to digital playback it seems to me as the sound were dull? can this possible?

This subject has confused me in the past, so if I get it wrong here someone correct me.
These settings are for telling jetAudio how you want it to recieve data from your cd/dvd drives. These optical drives convert cds to analog or pass them as digital. Before WinXP you would have needed a special digital cable connecting your cd/dvd drives, but now in XP it is all transferred to OS threw the IDE cables.
Can it sound dull? Possibly. Especially if your not accustom to digitally reproduced sounds. Common argument about which is better LP(analog) or CD(digital).
