View Full Version : Can't play iTunes on iaudio4
Hi. i download music from iTunes but I can't play them on my iaudio4. what am i doing wrong? thanks for your help.
You are doing absolutally nothing wrong.
Let me explain: The iTunes store is run by Apple. The files downloaded from iTunes only play on the iPod. There is no other player that supports AAC files with iTunes digital rights management - this is because Apple promotes their hardware (iPod) with the store - they don't really earn any money with the store. So obviously they don't want their files to play on other players.
I hope you were not confused by the name "iAUDIO" and thought that it was from Apple. The name "iAUDIO" is actually a lot older than the name "iPod".
sigh...i thought that since iTunes was compatible with my PC, it would be compatible with my iAudio. oh well. so does this mean that i'll have to transfer the music to my unit the long way, through the linein record ? there's no easier way huh?
Sadly that is not the case.
You could also burn and re-rip the tracks. Same thing really. I'm sorry that I can not offer you any further help. It really isn't my fault ... really!
:(

The truth is, aac is crap and ****ers use iTunes. Sorry, it's the truth. Do your research.
Treffmeister, could you please avoid further discrimination of people in future. You can critisize competitors products and also Cowons hardware and jetAudios software if you want as long as your agrumentation doesn't include foul language or personal attacks.
But please don't discriminate iTunes users or any other group just because they use a certaine product. This forum is meant for all kinds of users from all over the world and we want to try and be nice to everybody.
Thanks a lot.
