I switched on my M3 this morning, and it started flicking through all my albums at a very fast rate. I tried to stop it using stop button on the remote, but no joy. In the end, I had to lock it from the unit and then press the stop button on the unit to stop it flicking. Then I played from the remote (even though there?s an unit lock), and it played like normal, and I can view the albums and play then as usual. But as soon as I unlock the unit control lock, it goes back to flicking through all the albums.
Anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it?
Hmm...after reading about your USB 2.0 connect problem and now this, I wonder if your M3 might be defective. I would suggest contacting Cowon about a warranty exchange.

Whats Happening:
Obviously the fast forward button on the unit (or rewind) is being held down. I have found that if the unit is in the included case, this often happens, so I normally leave 'hold' on the main unit.
OK, so your USB 2.0 problem was with the adapter on your PC. So maybe your M3 isn't defective. Have you checked to see if some part of the FF button is jammed?

I agree with TREFFMEISTER. I think this only happens when the unit is in the case, and yes, when you click the hold button on the unit, it stops flicking. I'll try to be more careful with inserting the unit into the case and see what happens.
When I first turned on ID3 tags on my M3, after I restarted it it startes flicking through the albums like you describe. I assumed it was only scanning the ID3 tags, so I just left it at it. But after about 30min I assumed it had crashed, so reset it. Haven't had any problems like that since.
