The S9 is sorely lacking in what's included with it, especially that you have to pay extra for the USB charging cable. But whatever...

I have a quick question for those who have actually bought and are using the S9.
Now that you've got it and are using it, which of the available options for it do you think are a "must have" item?

I've had my X5L for almost four years now, and it's working great still. I love the darn thing. But now that the S9 is available with 32gb of flash memory, it's able to hold what my 32gb X5L does on it's hard drive.
So I'm about to pull the trigger this week and order the 32gb S9, but am wondering what extra stuff I "need" to get with it.

TIA

I have had my 32gb S9 for about 3 weeks, I ordered the S9 through Jetmall and also got the extended warranty which I feel is a good investment.

Also bought the USB cable and leather case. Items I also should of ordered was a extra USB cable as I have the charger with my home stereo that I play my S9 thought and am sick and tired to running to get the cable everytime I want to add/remove files on the PC

So extra USB cable, extended warranty, leather case, probably would also ordered the TV out cables and also a necklace. FWIW there is a hole punched in the Cowon leather case for the re-set and mike you can run the necklace though. I had Creative necklace laying around so I used that.

I really like the S9 but as other also have complained about I wish that Cowon would get on the stick and take some time to make better software as its really lacking when you compare it to other name brand players out there.

The leather case is a must. It fits like a glove. Also a screen protector is a good idea. The guy I bought mine from gave me the screen protector for free. I bought mu 16 GB unit in Korea and it came with the USB cable. However one thing that is probably different in Korea from the stateside models is that it comes with an adapter to use the standard Korean cell phone chargers to charge the S9. This is very handy and how I always charge my S9.

I believe to fully enjoy the S9 you need a good set of Bluetooth head phones. I pair my S9 with the Motorola Rokr S9 head phones (Ironic that both models are "S9"). What is really cool is that I can be listening to my Cowon S9 via bluetooth, then a call comes in on my cell phone and the motorola S9 will silence the Cowon and signal me that I have a call. I then press the talk button and receive the call. Once I finish I hit the button again and the cowon will start streaming to the headphones right where it left off.

I decided against the video out cables as your AVI movies are resized for the S9 tiny OLED screen which in my mind should make them very grainy on a 42" plasma or LCD. I also have the Cowon A2 30 GB model. It came with all accessories including the AV out cables. It is a much better unit for output to TV as it plays all my AVI containers in full theatre mode.
