firmware available as bin

is there a way to extract the bin files from the self extracting firmware executable?

i'm a linux only guy... i would rather be able to download the firmware for the m3's as a bin file (or in zip) so that us linux users can upgrade firmware without needing a windows box...

a minor pain, but still a pain nonetheless...
