M3L Lineout to work with 5.1 or better

My friend recently purchased an iAudio M3L, we were wondering if it was possible to change some settings somewhere to get the sound from lineout to work with all 5 speakers. Any help appreciated.

This has absolutally nothing to do with the M3L really - it has something to do with your sound system. Any "normal" Line-Out on any player out there only outputs on two speakers (left and right). Sometimes speakers have an option to emulate the other channels. You should try finding this option.
