Hi, I recently was evacuated form Grenada after Hurricane Ivan DEVASTATED the island, including my home, i was able to escape with only 1 bag of stuff, luckily my iAudio4 was among them, but sadly the USB cable was not

Is there any outlet which sells just the cable? can i download the associated software as well?
all of my worldy belongings (including my computer and harddrives with all my music, original and Cd collection, sniff sniff) were lost to looters/damage

Also, is there a ways to delete the contents of the player without having it plugged into the computer? as a DJ i would like to use my iAudio to record sets at my friends house but have no way to delete the current contents without the USB cable....
thanks for your help

Wow, that freakin ****s dude.
Luckily the cable for the iAUDIO4 is pretty cheap. If you are lucky you might find it a CompUSA cheaply. These cables are the standard for many digicams.

If you can't find a compatible cable in store then you can get it at the jetAudio online store:
http://www.jetaudio.com/onlinestore/index.html

You don't really need jetShell at all to use the player at the PC, but you can download it here:
http://www.jetaudio.com/download/iaudio_4_jsfw.html
The serial number is located under the battery cap of your player.

I hope you have insurance ...

You can delete files through navigator. (Pressing "menu" long in the now playing screen)

You saying this just made me realise that the 2 USB cables I have plugged into my computer are for my camera and M3. They both have the same connectors, are they the same wire? If so I wouldn't have to have them both plugged in.

Well, yeah - most probably. Of course Cowon only wants you to use their official cable, but it *should* work.

Wow man! Ehh so much bad stuff goin on lately...all the hurricanes and the school in Russia! Hope everything gets better soon!

Well as they said you could probably pick up one of those cables off the net, or even the USB jack which is only 3 bucks! And the software itself isnt really compulsory (i dont use it :p haha)!

Well good luck man!

Bah

Any cable will work that is designed to handle the Usb 2.0 load.
