Hi everyone,

For xmas I'm thinking of buying an iAudio. To save money I'm buying it in the US and bringing it back to the UK where I live. Now what I need to know is what differences are there between the UK and US version in terms of adaptor or power supply? Will I need to buy some kind of coverter to make sure the power supply meets that of the US' (if so what kind and where can I get one?). Any other differences that might cause a problem that I've missed could you kindly point out please, thanks. You can probably understand if I do bring it back to UK the last thing I want is it not to work, especially if its going to be an xmas present. Thanks.

Ani

In the U.S. and Canada, wall current (what, IIRC, you would call mains) runs at 110 to 120 volts, rather than the 220 to 240 you're used to. Also, our sockets and plugs are very different from yours. Adaptors for using our small appliances with foreign plugs and power should be available from any store that sells travel supplies. I've even seen them in discount stores such as Target and Wal-Mart. I don't know how well they would work with an AC adaptor.

If you move this to one of the iAudio forums, maybe someone will be able to give you a better answer.
