I download lots of audiobooks from librivox.org. I place them in the "Audible" folder, but my S9 still finds them and includes them in my music list. I would like the next firmware update to have an option to place files in a separate folder that isn't seen by the normal music player. It gets annoying to set the player on shuffle, and then have to physically skip every audiobook mp3 that it sees as music.
What are your ideas?

I also have lots of different types of music, and different types sound better with different stock or custom EQ settings. I think it would be great to have the player do one of two things, or both:
1) Remember the last EQ setting for a particular song
2) At least be able to associate a particular EQ setting for a particular genre, artist, or album --- SOMETHING.
When I go from Hip Hop to folk, I don't want to have to grab the player and change the EQ settings for each song all the time.

Don't misunderstand... I LOVE my S9!!! Just see these as improvements to firmware.

I love my Cowon S9 but there are two things bothering me: Playlists and Playlist Restriction. My Cowon S9 is the first device I've ever owned that required me to jump through hoops to organize my music into playlists on the device and then they restrict the number of songs to 400!!!
So, my recommendations for the next update would be this:
1. Fix the Playlist Synchronization so that we aren't forced to drag and drop to get music on to our device. This is a great device but this same disease seems to have carried over to the J3 as well. So, make the playlist sync automatic with no required expertise on the user side.
2. Remove the limitation of 400 songs from a playlist. Seriously, who ever heard of a playlist ever having just 400 songs? The last device I had, a Samsumg, had 2200 songs in one playlist and I didn't have to jump through hoops to get my playlists organize and all of my 2200 songs were in one playlist. So, remove the restriction that limits songs to 400 in each playlist. If you must limit it then place a number around 4,000 on each playlist.
cheers,
