Hi everybody. This is my first post here in this forum. I´m looking into buying the Iaudio U2 player. The only thing holding me back is the rechargeable battery. I know that these batteries degrade over time. and they are not replaceable (at least by the user and here in argentina). My question is, how long will it take for the battery to become unusable? Will i be able to get 2 years of use out of this player? Thanks and any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I know there´s also the G3 player. But i´m not to fond of the design. That´s why i´d rather stick to the U2. Thanks everybody.

I did some googling on lithium polymer and at first glance they seem to be the next step in battery design. some sites i saw considered them "a far more advanced battery", and ended their reviews at that. Unfortuneately I didnt see any mention of how long they take to begin not recharging fully.
Considering the leaps Ive seen in each kind of rechargable battery that comes out, and since this type seems to be at the forefront of the consumer-grade rechargable battery industry, I wouldnt hesitate. Its not like CoWon's cheaping out on an old technology.

I have seen those batteries being used in small airplane models (or whatever their name is). I remember reading those batteries could keep over 75% or so charge over two years. So I guess the U2 could live well beyond two years of use.
