View Full Version : iRiver ???
Hey guys!!!
Have you ever visited ZDNet at http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Cowon_iAudio_CW300__128MB_/4852-6490_16-30470216.html?tag=box?
is really iRiver better than iAUDIO?
do iRiver reviewers there have both iRiviver and iAUDIO?
If not, how do they know iRiver is better? I really don't think so.
I really hate tri-angle type of MP3 player.
I really really hate the player having too many buttons.
I really really really hate flash-based player which control with joy stick style of controller.
sound quality, FM reception, voice recording quality....???? I don't even like to mention about those.
What do you think?
hm..... I'm suspicious of iRiver supporters... they really ****s.....
Hi,
Doesn't matter whether ZDNet or c|net (http://reviews.cnet.com/4500-5_7-0.html?tag=sb&qt=iaudio) reviews...you can read some stupid stuff everywhere. A lot of people there speak out about iAUDIO without a clue about the features or any details or they even compare the iAUDIO with an IPod. And all that stuff tells its own tale and you and me and every user has to know how are the reviews to evaluate.
In my opinion one of the most queer reviews from c|net... (http://reviews.cnet.com/Cowon_iAudio_CW300__128MB_/4505-6490_7-30470216.html?tag=subnav):o

whats the problem with the review?
http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Cowon_iAudio_CW300__128MB_/4852-6490_16-30470216.html?tag=box?
Jesus, out of the 13 people that reviewed the unit 8 gave it a  and 5 a  . Out of the 5 people that gave the iAudio a negative it seems to me that not a single one of them actually owns one. Damn, how dumm can you get - "not an Ipod"! *ahhrg*
From the 8 people that said it was good 7 of the people (or so it seems to me) own an iAudio. Do I need to say any more?
7 "real" positive comments - 0 " real negative ones - that makes 100% - congratulation Cowon - you make the best players ever.
Now just piss off you stupid retarted no-brains that don't own the iAudio but urgently feel the need to review it and go play with your iRivers, iPods or Nomads - I don't care! But someday you might just see the light and say - ohhh ... hmmm!
EDIT: Sorry about that, but I feel better now ... :hurray:
Hi,
whats the problem with the review?
In my opinion the editor are not really objective by writing this review because I think few facts are unaccounted and other are too overdraw.
The 128MB of memory is not expandable...; But the nonexpandable memory will frustrate listeners interested in more than two hours of music at a stretch.
256MB version was available and 512MB version was announced at this time. Compared with the cons of the iRiver iFP-395T review...there is no point about the possibilty of memory expansion.
FM recording uses a proprietary file format
The SC4 format is a good format for speech and you get a good quality with it. With the UHQ setting for voice recording the file size is for 5min about 2.5MB, that means about 50-70 kbps and the quality is compareable with mp3PRO oder OGG quality 0. And this is in my opinion quite ok.
flimsy battery-compartment door
If you use the battery door gently and carefully I think it is strong enough.
...However, the blue-backlit screen is somewhat dim...
Yes... it must be so bright like a headlight... it tells its own tale.
...But the albums share just 128MB of nonexpandable memory, which holds only about two hours of music...
And once more...:o
Finally I think all these things together the review isn't really opjective.

That is exactly what I mean! A user who compare a CW300 128MB with an iPod has not a clue of players like this.
