I merged all for your posts, because I somehow sense they all refer to the same problem (which would make it one of the largest post of this kind :p)
Anyway, something you could try:
* Go to www.whatismyipaddress.com (http://www.whatismyipaddress.com)
* Copy the ip you get there and paste it in jetCast Preferences->Server->Configure advanced options (you need to select Override network address.. first)
You need to make sure that your internet connection is setup correctly, so you can actually send data through TCP ports 9000, 9001, 9010
u mean to say if i have broadband connection i still be able to broadcast...
how do i make my port to send data through internet....
i got the ip address from where u specify......
but i am getting the same error....
"this computer does have public address"...
can u tell me y it is so.....
if i am overriding the ip addresss ....
the following page i am getting....

Please, try to post anything related to this in THIS post. I can't be merging everything all the time. It ain't hepful either...
I have been always been a single PC user all my life, so I'm not skilled at network setups. I can only guess that there is something not configured correctly in your network (you have two computers with internet connection sharing right?). You should recheck your network settings, to make sure that you can send output data correctly,
If you have any firewall software, you should check that it grants jetcast access through the ports I mentioned above.
can anyone help me......
plz give me some suggestion....
the thing is that i am able to broadcast...
my internet server has provided me with private ip address only...
do i have to ask my internet servicer provider to give me public ip address so that my frends can listen to my station.....

plz help me....

ok, have you searched for your station in the jetcast directory? if not try and find it their, change your station name to something so you know that its your station. When you have found your station right click on the listen button and press copy shortcut. Send people that want to listen that address that it gives you. That will do as a tempory thing and i will look into getting a more permanent thing for you.

I wonder if it could be a problem with your service provider. We had another user from india, djtriz (http://www.jetaudio.com/forums/member.php?u=267), frequenting the forums. I haven't seen him in while though. You could try emaling him, as he may be more aware of the situation there.
Anyway, don't pay $100 for that no matter what. They're obviously swindling you.
Btw, when you reply try to hit the quote button (or the reply) button at the bottom of this page. That way your post will appear here, we're is easier to be seen.
i am totally confused.....
what should i do....
i told u everything even my ip address also ... plz help me....
and the thing is that i am able to see my station in the user broadcasting page....
what should i do ....
i am waiting for ur reply.....

Hi, Sunny
Maybe it's impossible to broadcast if your isp doesn't give you a grobal ip.
If isp asks you to pay $100, change isp.
Hi, I was just doing some boning up on broadcasting, and chanced upon this thread.
It sounds to me like maybe sunny is at a school, college maybe? If thats so, she's most likely out of luck at broadcasting outside her LAN.
If she just needs to know her WAN(public ip), it should appear in the text field of this ip locator page.http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation
Hth :)
first if you went to listen on a computer in your home or where ever make sure that u have your local ip adderss off the computer the has the radio station then on the computer u want to listen to in your home or where ever type in the local ip adderss u got of the radio station computer then type it in the url botton on winamp and it should work it does for me
Please help me with a matter. I think is the same with sunny.
I have the only computer in the house with a link to the internet an ADSL 512 kps. For this my outer IP ( internet IP ) is changing frecvently. I have a router 3COM ADSL 11g.
Now, how can i make a broadcast with jetcast ? Because i am a noobie, please anyone can explain me as a retarted :D ???
How i try so far :
I override network address for port-forwaring with my outer IP ( 80.26.159.17 ) with the port 8080. Internal server has port 8080 with listen port 8080 and source port 8081. Donīt use external server.
In my router settings, at application gateways i set up a trigger port TCP at 8080 with Public Port 8080. I set up a virtual server for my LAN IP ( 192.168.2.1 ) with protocol type TCP&UDP for LAN port 8080 with public port 8080.
Well, it doesnīt work. I can see my radio but it doesnt buffer. I guess i am wrong with this settings. :(
