the pleople that listeen to your station dont have to come to jetaudio to listen. They can use your ip and port for an address.
like this
http//:ip:port
that can be pasted into playurl link in winamp and windows media player
enjoy

thanks but when ever i type in http://myip-address:port/listen.pls it doesnt work, and http://myip:port is just the station stats, are you sure that this works? thanks
DJ MasterT
The station address depends on the format you use for streaming, for example:
http://ip:port/listen.pls if you stream in mp3 format
mms://ip:port if you stream in wma
http://ip:port/listen.ogg if you stream in ogg

actually, i had been braodcasting MP3, when all of my files are WMA, lol. That was a major problem. so i got all that fixed and thanks for the link to the wma, i appreciate it very much.

All that i did, was i went to the setcast site where all the stations are listed, found mine and then i right clicked on the little button that you click on when you want to listen to your station. Then i clicked 'add to faveorites', then i went into my faveorites and right clicked on the link and went to properties. i found the address to the station (http://www.jetaudio.com/jetcast_directory/StreamFile/2323714.pls)<<this is what mine looks like, and then i just coppied and pasted it to the places that i wanted the link to be at. P.S. If you do this, it will only work for your current time on the station. everytime you start broadcasting again, your address changes. :hurray:

There is a solution to this... for those who are familiar with page building and HTML including the use of EMBED tags..
Visit my station for a example of how I worked around this problem...all appearances indicate that this works...and actually works well... so far anyway...
I've had friends from all over the world test this out and have had zero performance problems while listening..
Have a look, and if your seriously interested in how this is done...e-mail me..I'll try to help out if I can..as it would take a bit of effort not only to do this...but to try to explain it here lol..those who are familiar with HTML and EMBED tags may get it right off the bat.. others will be scratching their heads sayin.... "how the freek did GHOST do that...? " :p

When I use the http://ip-addy:9000/listen.pls, it won't connect to the station. I stream in MP3 format. Why is this?

I second this   Does files type affect people's ability to directly get connected to a station?? For instance, If you have all wma files on your playlist but you chose to broadcast using mp3 format, I don't think this would cause people to fail to connect to your station.
