This site is the slowest I've used outside of web sites on dial up connections. I get timed out more often than I get the page I want. Poor.
Also, as an aside. Let me wonder who the ego is that didn't want the name Jetxxx as a company name. How about ..... say .... Cowon America ... real catchy, memorable, and easy to use and type and every other thing. Wow.
Please find a contemporary name that has some real meaning. It might even help the product line. If that's what you're really interested in. Maybe not.
It is your DIALUP CONNECTION... more specificly, your ISP's SERVER...
This site is fast enough for DialUp. I know cause I use dialup.
And about the company name... JetAudio was good.
Cowon America isn't bad. Their original name is COWON.
I think there's some copyright matter... so in america, it is COWON America.
I think COWON is something in their language since they first started in their country. Then spreaded in all over the world!!!

I don't use dialup. I am on a 3mbps DSL and I get close to 3mb speeds with just about every other web site I visit. There is something wrong on the Cowon end of things. They should look at THEIR ISP or routers.
As for their name ... are you a Cowon employee? cowonamerica  just sxxks. Did they run out of catchy names at the NIC or what?
Useless...
Not Cowon, YOU.
In NO way this site is slooow.
I agree the site is NOT slow. I am using Adelphia Cable, and it moves along fine.
As far as the name, it seems as good as any. I am a jet audio user, and my only concern is their commitment to JetAudio vs the hardware (iaudio).

Who cares what you are doing? I have a problem with MY connection to this site. Any good solutions. I've reconfiged everything I could and this is the ONLY site I have a problem with - using four browsers. Same problem. Most pages come up slowly but the "User's Broadcast..." pages time out or change pages every 5 minutes of waiting. I've sniffed the outbound and reply packets and all seem normal. By the way .... my car runs like a top. Does that have the same significance to you that "... I don't have a link or speed problem with Cowon ...."? has to me?

I don't know much about the company, so I won't comment on that...However...I do have the same problem, the list of stations pages time out all the time...I have to refresh more times than I can mention. I also have a 3Mbit connection...and it's NOT my provider, I can say this for a fact. It's most definately the JetAudio servers. I will say I have no problems broadcasting, but when it comes to browsing the station lists, it becomes a real chore.

Thanks for the info. I KNEW there was something wrong going on with Cowon's servers. I think they are sacrificing the broadcast services and shifting to the hard products instead. What company in their right mind does anything for free? I am now having a problem getting the Cowon servers to relay my netcast info to the Shoutcast info server. I am looking into the paid Shoutcast hosting services and will probably dump Cowon for good. If the netcast service is this bad, I can't think of paying for their hardware and finding out that it is just as bad.
Also, I am waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for a reply to the email I sent their support folks. I'm not holding my breath for that either. If the company can't provide decent service for free, then CHARGE something for it and preserve some quality ... don't just let it die on the vine. Too many people will get pissed off and it will impact everything else they present as a a company. 'Nuff said. Bye.
