Comments get cut off in XP

when adding comments to the file tag through jetaudio, they get cut off when viewing in windows explorer after a certain length. if you edit them in windows however, they work fine

jetAudio uses ID3 Tag version 2.4
explorer doesn't supports v2.4 properly...only upto v2.3

this is the only reason I can think of.

Well, there might be another reason.

jetAudio writes ID3v1 and ID3v2.4 both.
but maybe explorer is reading only ID3v1

And ID3v1 has a character limtaion of every fields.
