I am using Windows XP Prof. I was using an earlier version of Jet Audio but when I downloaded and tried to install the new version today it freezes at the time when it is installing the rmto3260.dll. Tried with another laptop and it freeezes at a different dll....
I think new versions have to be less buggy but not for jetaudio ...

Hi,

If you are using the Basic version of JetAudio than try to uninstall the ealier version and after that and a registry cleaning (http://www.sofotex.com/RegCleaner-download_L4965.html) install the latest version of JetAudio (http://www.jetaudio.com/download/index.html).
If you are using the Plus version read here...:here: (http://www.jetaudio.com/support/faq.html)

Varieties between Basic and Plus (http://www.jetaudio.com/products/jetaudio/basic_plus.html)

The installer probably got damaged while downloading. The installer will run even if a non critical part of it is damaged. You should try redownloading the file from jetaudio's website

I had the exact same problem with two seperate downloaded copies of the installer. My machine had a brand new restore with no software installed with the same result. Same result on another machine. Jet audio ignored request for refund though I am willing to try to get it to work . Any helpful hints? Why should there installer be so fragile to transfer. i have never had this problem with any commercial software. Are they even testing this stuff?

Uhm it seems my first suggestion won't do then... What could be causing the prob? The installer from the site should be good, since (as far as i know of) eXity has it installed (and probably some other folks that visit the forum).

You could try to clean the ie's cache when doing the second download. SInce IE uses part of the first file that got cached when you try to download twice.
