I can't seem to get those balloontips working...
Checked preferences... Everything is "checked".
OS Win 2000 pro sp4.

On the laptop there is no problem (Win XP pro sp2).

Anyone else has this problem ?

Greetz !

there's a windows option to turn off balloon tips. I guess if that is turned off, jetaudio can't show these tips...
see if any other program can show ballon tips...

In Windows XP you can enable/disable balloon tips this way (it should be the same with 2000):
Start -> Run -> type "regedit" (without the quotes) and click OK.
Windows registry will open. Now open the entry listed below.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer \Advanced

In the right part of the window you`ll find an entry called "EnableBalloonTips". Double click on it and under "Value Data" change the "0" to "1" (1 is enabled; 0 is disabled) Restart you`re computer and you`re done.

But I have to warn you that you shouldn`t mess with the registry if you don`t know what are you doing because this is the "heart" of Windows.

thanx Orgy...now I won't have to write that much.....except that there's another way...

if you have Microsoft-PowerToys, there, in the taskbar section, an option is present- Enable Ballon Tips...uncheck it.
many tweaking softwares let you do this too.

and what more, NortonSystemWorks2005 comes with a very very powerful application for tweaking many things that other tweaking apps won't allow to.

There are houndreds of tweaking programs out there - TweakUI PowerToys is a small one(but powerfull one) and I use it. But a lot of times happened that someone didn`t know what he was doing and f**ked up his system. For disabling balloon tips (and other privacy settings and services) I use XP-Antispy, but I`m not sure if it works with Win2000. Check it out if you don`t know it. Is a very nice and handy progy for disabling all kind of Micro$oft shit.

Norton for sure isn`t my choice. I stay away from it. I like WinXP Manager. (my second choice would probably be TweakXP Pro or TweakNow PowerPack)
