New to JetAudio Basic 2 days ago and all working absolutely perfect except problem when playing .mid files. Now I get buffering with skips, pauses, etc. Do not recall changing any settings that might have caused this, however one never knows:) I did play my .mid with a different player and all play good. I read almost every posting on the forum and have not had any of the problems listed except the .mid thing above. Hey, no laughing about .mid please - I do have lots of the "Real" stuff too:) BTW, my old Windows Media Player, WinAmp, and a few others, are now "History". JetAudio is by bar the ultimate!

Yeah, JetAudio is the best isn't it?

About the midi files. Try going to preferences -> Advanced -> Input . Choose Midi and click Config.

You could try disabling Chorus/Reverb, or reducing Polyphony.

Also in advanced you could also try increaing the priority of file playback to Above Normal
