I just purchased the CW300 for my daughter and want to make sure it works before the return date is up. I have windows xp. I loaded the software, and cannot get the jetshell to install. When I get to the registration page with name and serial #, the "next" option is grayed out. I can only go back or cancel. I downloaded the newest version of the firmware and jetshell but no luck. I have not been able to get through to technical support on the phone and it is taking 2 days to get an email answer. (They said to download the new versions). The other program, JetAudio loaded just fine and is on the desktop. Can anyone help me? I know very little about computers.

Ummm, you need a serial number to install JetShell. It's in/on the case/cover that the CD came in!

Hi,I just purchased the CW300 for my daughter...You are one of the best daddies around the world...:D...When I get to the registration page with name and serial #, the "next" option is grayed out...You have to type in the serial number on that window. Click on it and type it in. Furthermore, your serial number is including in the package. Near to the CD there is a sheet with two stickers on it...that is the serial number.

FAQ-How to install "JetShell"? (http://www.jetaudio.com/forums/faq.php?faq=jetshell/driver#faq_jetshell/driver_02)

Sorry I wasn't clear, I did type in the serial number and still could not continue. (I'm not that lame, but you guys were pretty nice in your wording to me) The "next" button was gray and not available to use. Only back and cancel. MY goal is to just get this loaded, listen to a sample to make sure it works, wrap it back up and let the kids figure out the rest. I can't believe that the program won't advance!

Hi,

That is a bit strange. Could you post a screenshot of that not working install window, please.

If you have a MP3 file on your computer you can download it onto the CW300 with the jetShell 3.10 Lite (http://www.jetaudio.com/data/download/jsh310e(Lite).exe) version, there is no CD key required.

I have no idea how to do that. I have the screen on my computer now, but don't know how to copy it to show it to you. I did the install for JetAudio again and it went fine. Then tried the JetShell. The install shield wizard for jetshell loaded. It only asked me to agree to their contract, I pushed next. The next screen asks for name and serial number which I filled in but as I said before, the "next" button is faded so you can't select it. That's the best I can describe it, hope this helps someone to help me.

Hi,I have no idea how to do that. I have the screen on my computer now, but don't know how to copy it to show it to you...If you did the screenshot (Alt+Print Screen) open Paint or another proper program and paste it there and save it e.g. as *.jpg. For posting it directly, i.e. everybody can see it without downloading, make sure that the file size is less than 20 kbytes and smaller than 540 x 380 pixel. Is it not possible to stick to these limits, compress your file as a *.zip file with less than 100 kbytes, than we are able to download it.
To add these file (pic below) in your posting, click beside Attach Files on Manage Attachments...you can find it below if you are replying. In the appearing window click on Browse..., go to your file click Open and than Add This File...now you upload your file to the forum. After that click All Done....The next screen asks for name and serial number which I filled in but as I said before, the "next" button is faded so you can't select it. That's the best I can describe it, hope this helps someone to help me.I tried it again as well. In the window where you have to type in the serial number the Next button is gray...but after I typed the first cypher in that field the Next button was active.

Thank you everyone for your help. Here's what happened in case anyone else runs into this problem. I tried to install it again and on the registration screen it asks for the company after your name. I had been skipping this question and leaving it blank. I filled it in with my name again, and what do you know, the "next" button popped up! Can't believe it. Typed in my serial number and everything progressed. It is installed. I copied a sample track, plugged in the earbuds and it worked. You can all laugh at me, but I didn't know how to stop the player and ended up taking out the battery to stop it. I'm not even going to worry about it, but since you all don't know who I am, I'll let you have a laugh at my expense. I'll let my kids figure it out from here when they get it as a gift.

Thanks again.

Hehe, that rather funny! :D

Just a tip, the manual is rather usefull. It tells you all about the controls.

To stop the player just press the play button shortly. To turn off the player press the play button for about 1-2 seconds.

I hope your kids enjoy the CW300!

The main issue is that your problem is solved and that everything works fine. :D
