View Full Version : Skins
Can Skins be applied to version 4.95 or are they for version 5 and above? If they can be applied can someone tell how to do it?
There are 2 different skin types. Ones are for JetAudio 5.xx and the other type is for JetAudio ver. 4.95 and lower. The 2 skins are not compatible.
I can only tell you how to apply skins for JetAudio 5.xx though, seeing that I have only used 4.95 very shortly and didn't like it. But it shouldn't really be too different.
Anyways, you can find skins for JetAudio 5.xx here: http://www.jetaudio.com/products/jetaudio/skins/
Usually they are really too install, because they are automatically extracted into the skins directory of your JetAudio Folder.
Then you start JetAUdio and klick on skins (the button in the red box). After that a window schould pop up that looks like the second picture and then you select the skin you wish to use. Klick okay and give JetAudio a second to apply the new skin and hey presto you are finished.
Oh yeah, skins for JetAudio 4.xx can be found here ( http://www.customize.org/list/jetaudio ) and here (korean site: http://www.cowon.com/product/d_audio/software/jet-audio/uib_main.asp )
To change skins in JetAudio 4.xx you need to click on the preferences icon (see picture). Then select UIB and you can then chose different themes.
If you have downloaded different themes and want to install these you have to extract the UIB files to: C:\Program Files\Cowon\Jet-Audio\UIB ans then selct them in preferences to activate them!
EDIT: I recommend the iMac theme - it looks loads better than all the default ones ...
Oh, and I still don't see what everybody sees in JetAudio 4.xx - I think it's a bit shity ... sorry :surprise: - JetAudio 5.xx has all the features that 4.xx has and many more, looks way better and doesn't have a huge interface that fills your whole screen .... :p

Uhm , i remenber that when i downloaded JetAudio 4 back in the old times was because the sound deck interface looked so good, even with a remocon that could "roll up" when the mouse wasn't on focus. I think the interface is the most radical change from 4 to 5, at first sight it's hard to get used to the new compact, no remocon style.
But i think is just a matter of time. I wouldn't switch to jetAudio 4 again! I would miss all the new features (all the 'Cross' specially), including the new interface :p
Back on topic, unfortunately the skin fromat changed from 4 to 5, so both formats aren't compatible, as eXity said. But the XAudio skins (made by eXity himself) are so good that you won't need more in a very long time (well that's if you wouldn't want to see what eXity will show in the future ).
