Trouble with M5

My m5 was working fine when suddenly all of the music I had on my mp3 players was deleted and my computer was no longer able to recognize the player. I tried accessing the MP3 player from 2 different computers and still get the same problem. In addition, when I connect the player to the computer, other applications running on the machine begin to hang and the computer slows down signifigantly. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with my only hours ago. As I was letting it charge. I only get the USB Device not recognized message. It isn't powering up nor is it going into charge mode. I have already pressed the reset button a couple times, and have received no response in any form from either my computer, or the the M5. Help would be greatly appreciated.
