View Full Version : help?
When i try to connect my a2 to the computer, it says new hardware found: Cypress AT2LP RC42 and the cowon drive doesnt show up. This has never happened before, i can't access the drive at all =(
any suggestions?
When you get this Cypres comming up goto hardware management by right clicking on my computer and remove hardware, then try again.
When i right click my computer, i don't see a remove hardware option. I went into manage and i tried uninstalling the cypress driver under my devices, but it still doesn work =/
could it be a problem with the usb cable?

I experienced the same problem and figured out, a bit roughly though,
what it's cause must be: a few days ago I installed software for my new digital camera. During the installation of this software I saw that there were additionale USB drivers installed as well. Now I guess that these drivers cause a conflict so the pc can't identify the external harddrive as an HD anymore but identifies it as this Cyprus-device (for which no drivers exist).
What did I do? I dismanteled the external disc and re-installed it as a regular 'indoor' model. Now my system had no difficulties in identifying it as an HD and all the data was accessible again.
But I'm sure there must be a more elegant solution - maybe deleting the software for the digicam and try some other for that.
Greetings, Marc.
