I know the CW300 has a setting for them, but I didnt see anything in the manual about them. I have a set of rechargeable NiMh batts, are these safe to use?

Sure. As long as they are rated at 1.2 -1.5 volts (mine are 1.2) you should have no problems at all!

Mine are also 1.2 so I should be good to go. Thanks a bunch. Also, do they last any longer compared to regular alkaline batteries?
No, they last shorter, but in the end it's cheaper, because you can recharge them several thousand times. Try getting betteries that are rated at high Miliamperes (they last longer): For AA batteries something like 2000 is pretty good - for AAA 750 is good.
