Win XP SP2 - Pentium 4 1.8Ghz - 512MB RAM
I am using the latest release of the 5.x JetAudio Basic player.
I have it set as default for almost all media file types.
But for example when I double click on an MP3 file on my computer I keep getting a prompt asking me what I want to use to open the file JetAudio, WindowsMedia, etc...
I keep choosing JetAudio and check to option to always use JetAudio to open the selected file type but when I close the player and double click on the file again the same prompt comes up
I also checked the File Type associations for the file types that I am having problems with and they are all already set to open and play with JetAudio.
What else can I try?

SP2?

Anyways: Try this.

Start -> settings -> control panel -> set program access and defaults -> custom -> Choose default media player -> Use my current media player and untick (next to Windows Media player) the box with "enable access to this program".

0. Close JetAudio.
1. If you have Windows Media Player, Run windows media player.
2. Go to Tools menu ->options and select file type tab.
3. Check MP3 audio file(MP3) and click OK
4. Double click any MP3 file in your "c:\windows media...." folder.

In normal cases you can see windows media player play that MP3 file.

5. Stop the file and close Windows Media Player.
6. Run JetAudio and go to Preferences->File->File type association check MP3 file and click Update button.
