Anyone here who has both U2 and U3 noticed that the U3 signal is considerably weaker? I can hardly get anything on it.

Are you saying this is a defect specific to the player I have? I thought it was just how the U3 is made. I had much better signal with the U2 by far.

Yes I am saying that they put a cheaper FM tuner in the U3. Cowon buys most of their components through 3rd party companies. There is some company somewhere making FM tuners. Cowon, being the lazy bastards they are, don't make their own components. They bid it out to the lowest bidder. I am sure when it came time to pick the U3's FM tuner... they had a choice to go with the same FM tuner as the U2 or go with a new one that cost 16% less. When corporations make decisions like this... they always favor the Shareholders rather than the Consumers.

[It amazes me that I have been heckling Cowon for the last several weeks and no one has responded! What a bunch a usless 'tards.]

Have you been trying to get in touch with them about this specific issue or something else? I have to say this is a huge disapointment the U2 fm tuner already being pretty weak, U3's is just ridiculous.

Have you been trying to get in touch with them about this specific issue or something else? I have been waiting for a decent firmware without any bugs. I am real frustrated that my U3 crashes twice a week. I bought my girlfriend a Sandisk Sansa Player and it's software is so much more stable. It does not have the sound quality that the U3 has though... but the players that Sandisk is coming out with soon... will!

One Problem that I have been told about COWON is that the corporation is in Korea and they treat CowonAmerica like diseased Red-Headed Step Children. But that shouldn't be a pretext to ignore your customer base through the very Forum system that they created... So I will Heckle them until I get a response! Cowon ****S!
