Since the latest beta firmware, 1_82b, description said that it addressed the lines at the bottom of the screen, I installed it hoping that the issue I am having with Line in Recording (white lines at the botom of the screen and cropped images) would be helped.
Unfortunetly it made no difference at all.
While playing around and recording the signal from my TV instead of directly from the DVD player I see what the lines are.
If you were to play a video on your TV and could drop the picture down abit so that you could see the uppermost edge of the frame you would see a bunch of numbers, in white.
The lines I/we are seeing are those numbers. What is happening is that the image is shifted UP so far that it is no longer centered on the screen - the very TOP of the next frame is showing up at the bottom of the one we are viewing.
While watching a video recorded from the TV I was able to see parts of the images that should have been projected at the top of the screen on the bottom under those lines.(see photo below)
Older folks who have played with the 8mm, super8, 16mm, 35mm etc film projectors from the past might remember that there was a frame centering control on the projectors. If the centering was off you would see the images of the next frame on your screen.
Basicly, for some reason, the horizontal hold is off on the files I record directly on to the A2.
Anyone got a fast track contact at Cowon they could have fix this?
