Why can't I buy any iAudio products? Going out of business?

Nobody seems to be stocking iAudio products anymore? I can't get them on Amazon or Newegg or even Jetmall.

I am trying to buy a U2. Jetmall says they are not in stock. Neither are U3s or G2s or G3s or 2G F2s or others. I can get a U3 on newegg for $137 but would much rather have a U2. Target sells U2s for $179, apparently, but on jetmall they are listed at $99.

Does anybody know what is going on? Did cowon stop production? Are they going to release new products soon? Are they going out of business?

I didn't expect it to be so difficult to buy a consumer product.

G2s and G3s have been discontinued for ages. Cowon only seem to want to make units with built in battery these days.

Just go buy an Iaudio 7, which is the current model - most of the ones you list are either obsolete, or on the way to being obsolete.

Re: Why can't I buy any iAudio products? Going out of business?

yes, they are pretty old.
iAudio 7, D2, A2/A3 are the current dominating models. even iAudio 6 is getting old.

however, if you look at the "open-box" items, you might find those old things in jetMail perhaps...or you might buy an second hand if you are so desperate to buy one of those models...

Re: Why can't I buy any iAudio products? Going out of business?

I apologize for posting twice. It won't happen again.

Thank you all for your replies. I went ahead and order the iAudio 7. It cost quite a bit more but hopefully it will be worth it.

I just think that if cowon is not going to sell U2s or the likes anymore they should remove them from their website. Or at least display a notice that they are not sold anymore. Otherwise, it's confusing.

If you go to www.cowonglobal.com you can see every mp3 player that Cowon ever made, and indeed almost all of them are no longer made. I guess they are just proud of their history. I agree they should not be listed on a 'to buy' site though.
