Volume
I am trying out other media players this week just to see what ones I like better.
Why when I play the same song at the same volume level in winamp and jet, winamp has more volume? I am editing this 5 minutes later. The volume is WAAAAY lower on Jet Audio, don't know why, but I am hearing crackling on Winamp, not on Jet. Why would that be? Just wondering which verison if the 'real' one I have on my computer. the clear one with less volume, or the louder one with crackling? is there a way to make the clear one louder or the crackling one not crackle Lastly, is there any way at all to access the volume control pull down in the silver mini bar skin? Maybe there is some sort of volume gain function activated in winamp by default. That could also explain the crackling.
jetAudio has Automatic Gain control activate by default (in jetAudio Preferences->File). The process of normalization could result in a lower volume. |
