Firmware upgrade doesn't work: new problem...
Hi!
I'm a newbie! Nothingi is like the first time!
I tried to update my 2Go Iaudio5?s firmware from 1.15e to 1.20e following the procedure published, and it doesn?t work. Tried several times. I can put back firmware 1.15e but whenever I try to upgrade to 1.20e, I got an error message after waiting for 1 or 2 minute at the ?Allocate table? process or something (don?t remember the exact process title). See attachement...(Operating system reported error: Le délai de temporisation de sémaphore a expiré). The second part of the message is in French but it?s something like: The semaphore buffering delay has expired.
At this time, there are 5 or 6 blocks on the first progress bar and 2 or 3 on the second one.
I tried it on 2 different computer, running Windows XP PRO French.
PLEASE tell me if you know what is the problem or if I'm doing something wrong. Unit is defective?
Thank you all ! I hope to make it works 'cause it's a great product...
Sorry for my poor english?
Last note: I know there?s a workaround in this firmware upping the file limit to 650, but is it a ?while you wait? fix or a definitive fix? Because, 650 is too low on a 2Go. If it?s a definitive fix, I?m not very happy since a lot of space is waste...
Update: I just want to say that I tried it in the recovery mode (push play while connecting).
