Problem during playing
Hi to all, I write from Italy.
I bought my 30GB A2 almost 5 months ago and i always used it perfectly. I only noticed a problem that i consider very annoying. Playing some .avi files (let's say, 20% of all I ever downloaded and stored in the A2), I notice that sometimes during the playback or from the beginning the file start going faster for a bit (or a long time). It's like the playback switches on 1.2x or 1.3x (the voice goes with that speed too).... and it becomes impossible to enjoy the movie/game. I can't understand if it's a ripping problem of the files (I don't make rip, i just download) or a problem of codecs. In the directory listing, i always check the file properties (if it is Xvid or Divx and which version), but i couldn't find any denominator among them). Did that happen to anyone of you? I hope I explain in order to let you understand. And I really hope someone can give me an help. Thanks in advance, M. |

Re: Problem during playing
Did you try converting it in JetAudio?

Re: Problem during playing
I am a Mac OSX user, so i can't use JetAudio. I know it can be a conversion problem, but i can't understand why the .avi is perfectly playable on my laptop or VCD player and not in the A2. It often happened, even yesterday, when I was watching Kubrick's Dr.Strangelove: it looked like it was played at 1.1 playback speed, while audio and video went out of syncro. I would only need a software or a tip to know which file is (would be) ok and which not before loading it on the A2. .. but nobody has had a similar problem, i notice.
