this windowsce is new to me is ther any way to download things directly to the Q5w rather than usb transfer.Ps also is there any way to get aim or adobe8 or higher to workany info would be much appreciated

I found AIM for Windows CE early this morning.

You have to install with Active Sync (3.8). Even though it will say it won't work, it does.
