Bugger - media players report "no disk"
"NO DISK" is reported for Audio CDs only.
I think this is a Windows problem. I'm running Windows XP (SP3). Roxio works fine (I can copy audio cds), I can play DVDs, but JetAudio and Windows Media Player refuse to recognize the "Audio CD" in my CD/DVD drive, irrespective of the disk (original or copy). With JetAudio I get "No Disk" on the screen even though I can browse the CD from "my computer." I think this is a Windoze problem, but I can't flush it out. I don't think it is a hardware problem my CD/DVD drive works with most other programs - it just won't play audio CDs. Any thoughts - pllllease? |

Re: Bugger - media players report "no disk"
Problem solved, well sort of:
I had to edit Windows XP Registry using information from this posting. I added a string CDAudio with a value of mcicda.dll to: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\MCI32" JetAudio and WMP will now recognize an audio CD and associated files when loaded into drive. Problem is I'm not getting any sound from JetAudio, it appears to be playing the file, but there is nothing coming out of my speakers. WMP is playing with sound. |

Audio is fine now - just took a little tweaking.
