Q5W cradle assembly

So I just bought the GPS cradle for my Q5W. I cannot for the life of me get the 2 pieces to go together. It looks like it should be super easy - the head piece has 4 holes, the neck piece has 4 connectors to go into those 4 holes. I put them together but the head will not slide downward to secure the connection.

This is extremely frustrating. Did anyone else have this problem? Am I an idiot? Is it a manufacturing defect?

Well I finally got it together. I had use pliers to pry the clasps open further, but I got it.

I live in the UK and can't find a cradle or dock, where did you buy it and would it be universal fitting??.

the cradles are only sold in the USA..
as the this was for the navigation and Cowon only order maps for the USA/Canada.

but the company whothey bought the navigation software from does release other countries, like EU, AUS, Brazil...
