U2 wont turn on

I just got my U2 as a gift today, i hooked it up to charge it like i was supposed to, it charged for 2 hours then displayed thet it was done charging. i then unplugged it and tried to turn it on...it wont turn on. has anyone else had this problem?

I'm with you on this. I got mine this morning and turned it on to make sure it was not DOA. After playing with it for about 3-4 minutes it died. I then plugged it in USB to my PC, saw it connect and let it charge for about 10 minutes. I was then going to move it to another computer to let it charge the remainder of the time and unplugged the USB cable. Now I get nothing. I've reset it, checked the hold button, held down play, nothing. I'm pissed.
I hope they have a good tech support available or a quick exchange policy.

its really bothering me, ive been looking forward to this thing for about a month now, im gonna call tech support tommorow

I've had my new U2 (1GB) over the weekend and with a full charge at work, suddenly it stopped turning on. Verified Hold siwtch. Plugged it into USB-- nothing. I emailed their tech support. What a disappointment, as I was really looking forward to using this at the gym this week.

Based on the troubles indicated on this forum, I now regret not buying an iRiver. I just hope I get a timely response from tech support.

Hey Guys,

I bought my U2 a few weeks ago and have only used it a few times.
But now, I'm having problems turning it on. I have checked the Hold switch and things like that. I'm technially competent with things like this.

I press play and nothing happens.

To start it up again, I have to connect to USB port, which by-the-way, does not always Connect.

Something is wrong.

Please help me resolve this issue.

My U2 does not start unless I press the Reset button all the time.

How do I get this fixed?
Or do I need to ask for replacement unit?

I contacted JetAudio Support, and they replied with the following:

Thank you for support iAudio.
Would you please check your unit battery voltage level?
You can check this on ?information? menu.
If the level is under 4.0V you have to recharge your unit.
Thank you.


My Battery Level is at : 4.14V
I keep my U2 charged all the time. It's not the battery because it starts working after I press the Reset Button or about about 30mins of pressing the buttons.

This problem occurs even when my battery is fully charged.
