jetCast WinAmp DSP Version metadata problem

Hi all,

I'm using the jetCast WinAmp DSP version to stream to an Icecast2 server. I'm having a strange problem with the metadata update on the Icecast server. When using Ogg to stream, all works well, the metadata is correctly updated on the server. When using mp3 to stream, I get the following message in the servers error log:

Version of Icecast is 2.2.0 on RedHat9
Version of jetCast Plugin is 2.0.0.4517
Version of WinAmp is 2.91 (tried with 5.x also)

Also the Status and Stats admin interface fails to show any details about the source connection. The Oddcast plugin works for both mp3 and ogg and also the details in the admin interface are updated correctly.

Also the stats.xml of icecast2 always shows me the "public server" status and I didn't find a setting to turn this off.

I would really like to use the jetCast plugin as I found it to be the best with respect to usability and features. Hope you can help me with my problems. Thanks.

P.S.: A little feature request would be to add lame compatibility

Another little problem surfaced. When using the Fraunhofer Professional Codec or the Radium hack of this codec, the plug-in crashes and takes WinAmp with it at 3 out of 4 tries.
Should it work, even the music on the local WinAmp is stuttering, sometimes dropping out completely. The default of 56k works fine.
With ogg it is no problem for me to stream up to 192k without any drops.

As I read in various threads here now, development of the DSP plug-in has pretty much dried out. This is very sad to see as for me it looks like the best solution when using WinAmp for streaming, something I would really prefer over all other solutions.
I sincerely hope the dev team manages to get rid of the various already posted problems.

why is it trying to access admin? i am pretty sure it doesn't have to... and there's nowhere to put the admin password in even if it does
