Iaudio 5 problem =/

Hi all. I had my I5 for roughly 4 days now and it's great. There's just one slight problem...the backlight is stuck on green! The first 3 days were all fine and then all of a sudden, on the forth day, the backlight would be green no matter what theme or mode I was in. I've noticed that if I delete the settings file in the root directory, the problem would be fixed, though only temporary. After using the menus for a while, the backlight would be stuck on green again. And when the unit starts up, all the colors blink but it seems that green blinks 10x more than any other color (ex. green green green yellow green blue green green green green...) And it's the same shade of green (the green setting 9) Firmware upgrades (to 1.15 beta) and downgrades to 1.1 didn't help much. Not even a complete format. I love the player but this problem really takes the color out of it. Does anyone else have this problem?

When your battery life is low, the I5 player defaults to green (saves energy it seems). Just change the battery and your colors will be back! However, it does seem that the green light warning does come on kinda early as I still get significant hours after it's on.

I didn't know about the player going to green backlight when it runs low on battery power - thanks for pointing it out!

I would like to note that if you are using rechargeable batteries, the player's default mode is to read the battery type as "Alkaline" so it will calculate the battery power incorrectly. If it's set to Alkaline and you pop in a rechargeable battery, it wll show the battery is already half-drained.

If you go into the menu, you can change the battery type (General>Battery Type) to "Rechargeable". I don't know if that helps with the backlight power savings mode, but thought I would mention it

Cheers!
