No image on TV

Hi guys,

Just received my new TVIX, and cant get a picture on my TV.
Best to mention now that the HDD is also new - as the TVIX was empty.
Basically, I have connected the USB and power cables, connected it to my PC, partitioned, activated, formatted etc.
i then disconnected the USB and connected the TVIX to my TV using RF cables - blank picture on my TV - Damn it !!

I notice someone said that USB connected to PC and RF cables connected to TV is a no-no. I did this. What are the impacts? How do I fix them?

Do I need to build the directories myself from scratch?
If so what are the key ones e noticed tvixfw holds the firmware etc

Anyway, so far this is the most informative place on the web for this device so I am hoping to get some answers.

Even without any content it should work fine, show you the menus and everything. what is more likely it is not sending the correct output... press the lower right button on the remote (I don't have it in front of me to remember what it says) to cycle through the various tv output formats (analog tv, component pal, component analog tv, component 480p, 720p, 1080i)... you should hit an output format that is correct. My TV for example, can show all on component cables, except PAL. While on regular video output, it only shows regular TV, not the higher resolutions.

You are right, you cannot have the PC and TV working at the same time, that is simply how the unit is designed.
