Hello everyone!
I can see lot of things have changed since the last time I was here. new version of jetAudio, jetAudio->cowonamerica etc... I've a BIG exam next month, so I just can't find any time for this forum like before. The "OLD" file association problem still remains, I guess. but not for long! I found a way to fix this... really, believe me (and that's why I'm here). This problem is one of the oldest problem of jetAudio5/6 So, how to fix it? *say you right clicked on a mp3, if you don't see a jetaudio context menu (containing play with jetAudio, edit tag...) you might need to use the following command in "run" regsvr32 "C:\program files\cowon\jetaudio\jetflext.dll" where, C:\program files\cowon\jetaudio is your jetaudio folder. be sure to include the " marks. You should get a dialog box, DllregisterServer in C:\progra........ suceeded. *download one of the following zip files, extract is and run the file inside. These zips contain reg files which will add just one small info in the registry and it's done. **the file name format is drive_folder_folder - jetAudio File Association solution by CvP.zip Download the one that matches your jetAudio path. If none, there's two things you can do. move your jetAudio to any of these paths and use that corresponding reg file, or edit the reg file. Suit yourself. There are 10 zips. first 8 zips provides different paths (I tried to guess which paths are commonly used). no. 9 is a zip containing all 8 regs. 10 no. is a zip containing all 8 regs but for XP only. *Use no 10 only if you use XP and 1-8 fails for you. (this is not a valid registry file. you can only import..............) **7 steps for sure success, 1. run jetAudio and go to prefs>file association 2. click check all, check the two "Check Boxes" below. 3. hit update!. 4. exit jetAudio 5. run the reg file. 6. use the above RUN command, regsvr32........ 7. The End **I tried to explain as details as possible cause I don't think I'm going to be here for next 2 months (I might be for a while to check this thread ...**If you still need help about it, ask here... someone who understands this solution can help you easily. |
